The South-Man Lock Story
It all began in March of 2017. After expressing my interest in learning the locksmith trade I was approached by Jim Mclenehan , owner of McKey and Lock Services, a small one man locksmith business in Boissevain, Mb. about purchasing his business. After about 30 seconds of intense negotiations a deal was reached and with the help of Jim Dickinson of the Boissevain branch of Sunrise Credit Union, South-Man Lock and Safe went from a dream to a reality.
On June 16, 2017 South-Man started operations under its new name and ownership. In October of 2017 South-Man purchased its first fleet vehicle with the hopes of many more to follow. My eldest Daughter Regan, affectionately named the little white van Snowflake. Together, Snowflake and I have had the privilege of serving our clients across Southwestern Manitoba and the City of Winnipeg.
It’s always been a goal and a dream to expand South-Man into the City of Winnipeg and in November 2020 that dream was realized.
Meet The Team
Born and raised in the town of Dauphin Mb, Greg spent the first 45 years of his life in rural Manitoba’s beautiful Parkland. Over the years Greg has enjoyed many different types of work experience. Spending 13 years in the maintenance department of the local health authority it was there he discovered his interest in the locksmith trade. A lover of the outdoors Greg can be found in his spare time outside of work enjoying his days out on the water boating or enjoying a ride down the highway on his bike. As a father of three and a small business owner Greg understands the importance of safety and security at your home and at your place of business and has made the protection of you, your family and your assets his priority.
